The Return of the Seer: A Necessary FutureDreaming is both an engine of human evolution, and a survival school.
In the West, despite all our technology, we are constantly being blindsided by major new events that shatter our previous view of the possible. To better predict and prepare for the future, in our lives and in our world, we need to revive the arts of the dream seer.
In this powerful new training, we'll learn both ancient and original techniques of seership, including some that were practiced by Joan of Arc and the tree seers of early Europe. We'll learn how to screen and discern messages about the possible future that come through dreams, intuitive states and the sign language of the world. We'll practice dream tracking, learn to travel across time and space and dimensional boundaries and bring back reliable information - and play fabulous games of shamanic hide-and-seek. We'll learn to focus and direct inner sight and practice mind expansion, cleansing and expanding the field of inner vision until what we need to know is brought inside it.
The body believes in images and they can make us sick or keep us well. We can reach the inner sources of healing through the practice of imagination. This involves developing personal images that help our bodies stay well. Where do we get the imagery that works for us? In this fun, high-energy program, Robert Moss explains how to harvest fresh and custom-designed imagery for healing from night dreams and day dreams. We'll learn the truth of Joseph Campbell's observation that healing is what happens when we move "beyond suffering into myth" as we tap into the deeper story of our lives. We'll learn to tell better stories, drop our negative mantras and self-limiting beliefs and claim the power of reinventing our lives and our world.
How Dreams Can Wake You UpIn this exciting, high-energy program with world-renowned dream expert Robert Moss, you'll discover how dreams, coincidences, and the workings of your imagination can help you journey to the world beyond the obvious one, a world where you can awaken to who you are and who you are meant to become. In his newest book, The Three "Only" Things: Tapping the Power of Dreams, Coincidence, and Imagination, Moss offers practical suggestions, tested in his workshops and consultations, for harnessing the life-altering power of the subconscious mind to create the lives we desire.
Seven Uses of ImaginationIn this fun, high-energy program we'll learn how the practice of imagination can help us to heal our bodies and our lives and re-create our world. We'll discover the Seven Uses of Imagination:
1. If we can picture our blocks, we can play with them or move beyond them
2. The body believes in images and they can help it to heal and stay well
3. If you can see your destination, you are better than halfway there
4. The Big Story is hunting us
5. There is a place of imagination, and it is entirely real
6. We can transfer a vision to someone in need of a vision
7. The stronger the imagination, the less imaginary the results
We'll learn from masters of the imagination like Leonardo da Vinci, who gave his apprentices a technique for "arousing the mind to various inventions," and Mark Twain, who found universes within the very small, and Joan of Arc and Winston Churchill, who were able to transfer their visions to mobilize whole peoples.
We'll learn how to build a home in the imagination, and use it as a place of healing and relaxation and creative inspiration - and how to bring the best things we grow there into embodied life.
The law of attraction says that whatever we think or feel strongly, the universe brings to us. If we carry around feelings of failure or dread, the world will give us lots of reasons to feel those things. If we follow our passions and are willing to make a leap of faith, the universe will bring opportunities and support in magical ways. Successfully working with the law of attraction, however, requires awareness about which part of us is doing the asking. We need a practice that engages the body and the larger self, not just the calculating ego.
In this inspiring evening, Robert Moss, author of The Three "Only" Things, explains how we already have the tools we need for working with our unconscious mind in this process. They are the three things we too often dismiss as "only" a dream, "only" a coincidence, and "only my imagination." He offers fresh and exciting ways we can work with these extraordinary sources of wisdom to create the lives we truly desire.
Robert Moss is a world authority on dreams, a bestselling novelist, and a former foreign correspondent and professor of ancient history. His latest book is The Three "Only" Things: Tapping the Power of Dreams, Coincidence and Imagination (New World Library).
A dream can be an adventure playground, a night school, a garden of heavenly delights, a place of encounter with the more-than-human, a portal into the multiverse. It can be a place of healing, initiation, higher education and outrageous fun.
In this lively, high-energy program with the creator of Active Dreaming, we'll learn to recognize and harness the nine powers of dreaming:
1. We solve problems in our sleep
2. Dreams coach us for future challenges and opportunities
3. Dreams hold up a magic mirror to our actions and behavior
4. Dreams show us what we need to do to stay well
5. Dreams are a secret laboratory
6. Dreams are a creative studio
7. Dreams help us to mend our divided selves
8. Dreaming is a key to better relationships
9. Dreams recall us to our larger purpose
Are you ready to claim your creative power?
Would you like to be living a more spontaneous, richer and juicier life?
Are you willing to accept the challenge of the creator, and give birth to something new and original, in whatever field is calling you?
Creative people have these things in common:
- They think outside the box.
- They use different parts of the brain than non-creatives, and grow those parts of the brain through practice.
- They are visual thinkers.
- They know how to enter the flow state.
- They are in touch with their dreams.
- They are "prepared for good luck"; they view coincidences as homing beacons and are ready to turn an accident into an invention.
- They connect things other people don't see as connected.
In this fun, high-energy program with the bestselling author of The Three "Only" Things, we'll play wonderful games to develop the power of vision and release the creator inside.
Speaker Information
Robert has been described as having reincarnated himself several times in one lifetime. He has been a history professor, a journalist and editor, a BBC commentator, a risk consultant for Fortune 500 companies, a bestselling novelist, a life coach and radio talk show host - and the pioneer of Active Dreaming, an original and powerful way of accessing personal sources of creativity and healing.
He has always been interested in getting to the bigger story that may be playing out behind the surface of events, in our lives and in our world.
As a foreign correspondent and bestselling thriller writer, he developed extraordinary sources in order to understand the secret springs of world events including the emerging phenomenon of international terrorism - which he was one of the first to identify as a major challenge to the democracies in his first book, published in 1972 when he was 25.
Throughout his life, he has drawn on extraordinary sources in a deeper sense. He has recorded his dreams since his teens, and has kept a journal, mostly devoted to dreams and coincidence, with daily dedication for more than 30 years. His fascination with dreams dates from his childhood in Australia, when he survived three near-death experiences and first learned about the practices of a traditional dreaming people through his friendship with Aborigines.
He decided to leave the commercial fast track and reinvent himself as a teacher of the Three Only Things - for which there is no career track in our culture - after he purchased a farm in upstate New York in the mid-1980s, guided in part by the curious behavior of a red-tailed hawk. He developed the original approach to tapping the power of dreams, coincidence and imagination that he calls Active Dreaming.
He explains this approach, and how it can help us in making better decisions, igniting innovation, facilitating healing and manifesting life goals, in six books, including Conscious Dreaming and The Three "Only" Things, a DVD series, and a Sounds True audio course. He has worked with groups ranging from nurses to top corporate communications officers, from at-risk inner-city kids to adventurers in consciousness at the Esalen Institute, in developing many applications of his core techniques, including the use of active imagination for healing and of conscious dreaming techniques for predicting and preparing for future events.
Robert's varied life odyssey, his humor and humanity and extraordinary gifts as a speaker and storyteller, make him a marvelous guide who can help us to reinvent our lives and fill them with juice and everyday magic.
