Murray Brozinsky is a recognized leader in data-driven healthcare and digital health. He has been involved in two start-ups in the space, has spoken at numerous conferences including Health 2.0, RISE, HIMSS, HealthTech Capital, Healthspottr, Data360, BlogTalkRadio, among others and corporate events. Murray has also published many thought pieces on the future of data-driven healthcare.
Through his strategy and business development firm, Cambrian Technologies, Murray has helped launch and grow numerous companies. Most recently, he served as Chief Strategy Officer of Talix Inc., a leading patient data analytics and HCIT company in San Francisco. His architect of SaaS-based Risk Adjustment created a strategy to develop coding solutions for risk-bearing entities. Murray personally drove the company’s initial validating customer and partner deals to establish product/market fit. Customers and partners include providers (e.g. VillageMD, Crystal Run), payers (e.g. Geisinger Health Plan, United Health Group), HIT/health service companies (e.g. NextGen Healthcare, Allscripts, Optum), among others. In addition to company & product strategy, he also led the business development, corporate development, and sales teams. Murray’s prescient strategy to leapfrog the competition by targeting providers and chart review business process outsourcers (BPOs) enabled the company to establish its leadership position.
Prior to Talix, Murray was Chief Strategy Officer of Healthline Media, the leading digital health company for consumers, which was sold to Summit Partners in January 2016. He created the go-to-market strategy, drove the launch, and led the business and corporate development teams that drove the company’ success. Company-changing deals included a $10M+ deal with Microsoft and multi-million dollar deals with Yahoo!, Ask.com, Demand Media, Drugs.com, United, Aetna, AARP, to name a few. Murray was integrally involved in all of the company’s funding rounds as well as the sale of the company.
Murray has been an executive, board member, and/or founder of numerous successful technology companies outside of healthcare, including President, Netcentives (IPO), Founding Chairman, Loyalty Matrix (sold to Responsys - now Oracle), Director, Adacado (current), Founding Chairman, Integrated Devices (company sold). He also is/was an advisor to a number of promising start-up companies including: Adchemy, Akimbo, Blue Pumpkin, BoardVantage, Catelas, ChaCha, Haven, Immersion Technologies, Lan-Mar, Loyalty Lab, Lypro Biosciences, Net Power & Light, Parakweet, Plum, Sonex, Sonim, SiVault, and Vitex, among others.
Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Murray was a case leader with The Boston Consulting Group where he advised fortune 500 companies, including: Microsoft, Visa, Charles Schwab, PG&E, National Semiconductor, Williams Companies, and more; held management positions at McCaw Communications and Monitor Aerospace, and was a financial analyst with Morgan Stanley.
Murray has a BS in Finance and Decision Sciences from The Wharton School, an MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg Graduate School of Business and an MS in Industrial Engineering from McCormick School of Engineering.
