She has co-authored three New York Times best selling books, including the YOU: The Owner's Manual series and the popular Healing From the Heart, which addresses combining Eastern and Western traditions to create the medicine of the future. Lisa was born in Philadelphia and received her undergraduate degree from Bryn Mawr College, where she was the award winning captain of her college tennis team. She acquired her background in wellness and integrative medicine genetically. Her father is a cardiac surgeon and her progressive mother treated Oz's childhood ailments with homeopathic remedies and transformed her family's eating habits by becoming a vegetarian. Lisa attended Columbia University's Union Theological Seminary and has written on and maintains a passion for the spiritual studies.
